I wanted to mention some other hero cops over at Pine Bush. They buy 6 bikes every year at Walmart and pick 6 needy kids to give them to. They take alot of there bikes they receive and donate them to kids after a officer at the garage fixes them. Thank you for taking the innovative to prevent them in the landfill.
Register your bikes at your local police stations.
In 2006 Our community Police donated over 100 bikes to us.

We have changed alot to make it less stressful on us. We do not let any children work on anymore of the bikes anymore. To much of a safety risk. We pay people to fix the bikes, I pay them with money I make from selling a few. We would love to get more donations and bikes. We do have alot of expenses now with gas, uhauls, paying for bikes at yard sales. We sell adult and some other bikes. To pay for those expenses. Please call when they become available.
With your continued support we could make this effort a continued effort. If it was not for your generosity we wouldn't be able to give away so many. We could save the landfills and reach so many children. Why Is Bicycle Safety So Important? Bike riding is a lot of fun, but accidents happen. Every year, about 176,000 kids go to the emergency department because of bike accident injuries. Some of these injuries are so serious that children die, usually from head injuries.
A head injury means a brain injury. That's why it's so important to wear your bike helmet. Wearing one doesn't mean you can be reckless, but a helmet will provide some protection for your head in case you fall down. A Helmet How-To Bike helmets are so important that the U.S. government has created safety standards for them. |
