Grafe's Free Bike Drive

We need: people to donate bikes, parts, tools, air pump, locks, paper, training wheels,

your time to a pick up and transport bikes from the Police Impound yards

to: 67 Washington St Middletown Ny 10940

What we have done in the past:

Ive faxed the Middletown Mayors office, Shelly. They have advertised for us on Channel 23 in 2006.

All she needs is an organization, to write her a letter telling her we you need for the commercial.

We can't get commercials played unless we are an organization and write a proposal.

Then I called the Times Herald Record next.

Left a message for a Leigh Gomez at 845-346-3143. It is a great Human Interest Story.

The-Record Letter faxed 7/3/2006

I'm hoping to get some free advertisement, we will need people to donate more bikes, their time, money, parts, helmets.

I called up Channel 6 Time Warner. They came bye on Friday May 26th 2006 and shot a commercial for us for the drive.

They played it on May 31st. 2006. I taped it for people to watch.

I'm sure it will be an insurance issue with the building we store and use for rebuilding the bikes. I made up a agreement for everyone to sign, saying if they get hurt on the property they can not sue, they have to use there own insurance.

I called up Staples to see if we could get a free sign made up. We can get one if we are a non-profit organization.

Maybe I can get one to work with me. No they said.

 Staples Foundation

I called up Walmart. We can fax a proposal for donations at 845-342-0321 no nonthing I keep trying.

Faxed a letter

I called up Shoprite. We have submitted something in writing and fax to 732-906-5160 or

 mail to: Mr. Tim Vogel

 Corporate and Consumer Corporation

 P.O. Box 7812

 Edison N.J. 08818

Include In the proposal this reference number #120272

But because I am not a non profit organization

I don't think anyone will give me any money for expenses because I do not have a tx id and they can't right it off.

I called up the Goodwill at 1-917-559-2956 asking for helmets and bike accessories for free. no help

I called up The Salvation Army 845-343-0821 and asked for helmets and bike accessories for free. no help.

I called up Orange Recycling on 6/6/ 2006 and they offer 75.00 a ton for bike metal recycling.

So I am trying to make a deal with them give me a dumster for a couple months for free if they keep the scrap money.

6/12/2006 Detective Sheehan from the Suffern Police donated 29 bikes.

Thanks Suffern for adding to our inventory.

When Middletown Police ditched us for 25 bikes.

Sufferen came threw I had well over 30 kids on a list at this point.

 Suffern Police are our Heros.
